Meet the Staff

Justin Shawnoo, Co-Manager

“I started out as a volunteer at Point’s Eagle Radio some ten plus years ago. My specialty is in the field of Production work; however, over the years I have taken on many duties, learned a lot and now am a co-manager. Working here has made me a caffeine dependent life form. I prefer my puns intended and I will go into survival mode if tickled.”

Gary Connors, Saturday Mornings 8am-Noon

“I’m Gary!!!….and just love working at The Eagle!! Although it’s only part time, I’m grateful for the chance to bring my forty plus years experience to our community and worldwide on the internet. Tune in to my show, Connors in the Morning, particularly on Saturday mornings for a unique program…..There’s no other in the world like it!!!”

Nadine Buchanan, Co-Manager

Moxy & Mettle. True Rock ‘n’ Roller at heart. Scrabble fanatic. Bookkeeper and co-manager at Point’s Eagle Radio Inc.
“I love being here at The Eagle – the guys are great to work with and I get to hear the best tunes around! “

Don Cloud, Deejay, Mondays to Fridays 9am to Noon

“I was raised by my grandparents and grew up with three uncles, throughout the 60’s and 70’s. They all loved music so the record player received more attention in our house than the T.V. I love music of all kinds. Working here at The Eagle is the best gig ever!”

Bruce The Bluesbird - Fri. at 6pm and Sun. at 7pm

The Bluesbird has been a blues lover for over forty five years. Considerable time has been spent in Mississippi pursuing the roots of the blues including a 3 month stint on a blues radio station a half mile from Robert Johnson’s grave site.

“I have been blessed to be given the opportunity to promote my love – The Blues. I am thankful for the support given to me by blues musicians who have given me insights into the racially charged conditions that gave birth to the blues.”

Alex Shone, Mondays to Fridays 12pm-4pm

“I’m Alex, I’m the new afternoon DJ on The Eagle and i’m loving it.

I grew up in Kettle and Stony Point, so I did listen to The Eagle a lot. After high school I went and graduated from Sheridan College in Oakville. After college I spent some time acting in small films and on stage. When I moved back home I decided to use my skills as an actor for good use, so I applied to a job at the Eagle. Now here I am everyone. “
