Meet the Staff

Justin Shawnoo, Co-Manager

“I started out as a volunteer at Point’s Eagle Radio some ten plus years ago. My specialty is in the field of Production work; however, over the years I have taken on many duties, learned a lot and now am a co-manager. Working here has made me a caffeine dependent life form. I prefer my puns intended and I will go into survival mode if tickled.”

Nadine Buchanan, Co-Manager

Moxy & Mettle. True Rock ‘n’ Roller at heart. Euchre fanatic. Bookkeeper and co-manager at Point’s Eagle Radio Inc.
“I love being here at The Eagle! I work with the best people in the world! “

Alex Shone, Deejay on Weekday Mornings

“I started off at The Eagle as the Afternoon Deejay and love being the Morning Deejay even more. Not much of a morning person, but being on radio and having fun at work helps me get out of bed. My energetic personality and passion for music, plus the ability to talk about whatever pops in my head made transitioning from acting to radio very easy. I like to consider myself audible coffee to give everyone a boost of energy in the early morning to help get you moving, and get you through the rest of the day. The great music helps out too.”

Charlotte Henry, Deejay on Weekday Afternoons

“Radio Deejay by day, musician by night! I love my job here at Points
Eagle Radio. I have great co workers. I enjoy walks out by the trees and
scenery. Live bands! And Netflix! I enjoy singing and playing guitar,
and I have also played in local bands within the First Nation. Here you
will find me on The Eagle airwaves in the afternoons, playing all your
Local, Indigenous, and Canadian music!”

Bruce The Bluesbird - Fri. at 6 pm and Sun. at 7 pm

The Bluesbird has been a blues lover for over forty five years. Considerable time has been spent in Mississippi pursuing the roots of the blues including a 3 month stint on a blues radio station a half mile from Robert Johnson’s grave site.

“I have been blessed to be given the opportunity to promote my love – The Blues. I am thankful for the support given to me by blues musicians who have given me insights into the racially charged conditions that gave birth to the blues.”
