Kristen McArthur

Canadian Country songwriter and singer Kristen McArthur hails from Edmonton, Alberta and has been recording professionally since 2014.  In November 2018, she officially released her debut album “Redneck Reservation”.  The album’s first song release is the popular “Barley Soup”.  This is the most requested song at the moment here at The Eagle 107.7 FM!   Kristen considers her most notable performances thus far to be the 2010 CCMA’s with Johnny Reid, the 2015 Landmark Music Festival, the 2017 APTN AbDay Live! (Now known as Indigenous Day Live, Yellowknife, NWT).  Also, this year’s Women’s Memorial March in Prince George, BC, the 2019 CBC Centre Stage and the 2019 Skirts-a-Fire Festival held in Edmonton. Kristen is a 2018 Edmonton Music Award nominee, and recipient of the 2013 Esquao Leadership Young Woman of Vision Award, the 2011 & 2017 Spirit Seekers Youth Role Model Award for Arts/Music/Creativity as well as the 2015 University of Alberta TD Monnex Leadership Award.
Kristen not only writes her own music, she also conceptualizes her own artwork, photography, brand, and directs/edits her own music videos. In March 2018 Kristen traveled to Nashville, TN for the first time, ultimately performing on the stage at the Douglas Corner Café.  She is looking forward to all the opportunities associated with releasing a full-length album as well as recording new material for her sophomore album.
