Chippewas of Kettle and Stony Point First Nation welcomed former National Chief Phil Fontaine to the community on May 3, 2013. Fontaine, owner of Ishkonigan Consulting and Mediation and the Royal Bank of Canada represented by Salvator Azzolina presented a educational contribution of 20 Apple Ipads to the students of Hillside School.

Following his presentation, Mr. Fontaine dropped by the Eagle 107.7 studios and talked about his committment to education as an essential component on the road to success for First Nations youth. A lover of music, he asked us to spin some Indian City, Shane Yellowbird and George Jones. No problem.
